Believing that money and happiness are synonymous is a slippery slope, it bases your contentment on something outside yourself.  Granted, living hand-to-mouth can cause a great deal of worry and stress, but if you suddenly had all the money you needed, would you be happier?  I think the key is to not make money the center of your universe, but rather make it a tool you use on your journey.
